Joy Tip Wednesday: Receiving Love Letters

Joy Tip Wednesday: Receiving Love Letters

Welcome to Joy Tip Wednesday.  Where I've been collecting love letters from the Universe these days and I'm inviting you to do the same.  When my energetic battery feels low, I know it's time for some self care.  For some more time in silence.  Deep reflection.  And maybe even a trip up to New York to see my teacher Sri Dharma Mittra.  While classes with him, connection with amazing community, and time away refilled my battery so did something else.  Love letters.  Tons of them.  From the Universe.  They are always there when I'm receptive to them.  But the question, is I'm willing, open, and ready to see the love letters that the Universe is writing back to me each and every day cheering me on?  Telling me how much I'm always loved? How supported I am?

Joy Tip Wednesday: Embrace Your Irony

Joy Tip Wednesday: Embrace Your Irony

Welcome to this week's addition of Joy Tip Wednesday where we let ourselves run free as the wild souls we are.  Here's what I believe.  I believe each of us are composed of irony.  An irony of both absolute uniqueness, never to be created again the same, and similarity with a Great Intelligence behind it all as the energy pulsating through every ounce of our very being.  Our uniqueness, the individual person that we are, is our greatest gift.  But also our hardest gift to stay true to and share with the world.

Embracing the Mystery

Embracing the Mystery

"God, I'm doing that thing again!"  I exclaimed to my coach on a recent call.  "Why do I do that thing?! And why can't it just go away?  I don't get it.  I see it, I know it, but yet, here it is again."  We were talking about a pattern that I could see, that I know well, and that I couldn't quite leave.  This strangely familiar and annoying pattern of thought and behavior had me wanting to crawl out of my own skin.    "Maybe you don't need to know the why," my coach said to me.

Joy Tip Wednesday: The World of Possibilities

Joy Tip Wednesday: The World of Possibilities

I have an interesting relationship with possibilities.  For a long time I always focused my attention on problems.  I'm trained as a conflict resolution practitioner and even before my training, my mind was a problem solving pro.  It's one of my most tried and true skills.  And while it can be useful, valuable, and has served me well many times, it also gets me into knots.

Joy Tip Wednesday: Find Your Love

Joy Tip Wednesday: Find Your Love

Earlier this week I wrote about my love affair with Joy.  How every cell in my body is dedicated to Her.  To this North Star of sorts guiding my way back Home when I've lost myself in the thick of life.  She guided me when I was young and as an adult I came to loose my connection with her.  Recent years have been focused on reconnecting with Joy once again.  When I finally reconnected, my life felt alive like never before.
